Recognised as Associate Fellow of Advance HE
I’ve been awarded the status of Associate Fellow of Advance HE (AFHEA) — formerly known as the Higher Education Academy.
This professional recognition reflects my engagement with teaching and learning support in higher education. I’m especially pleased that my portfolio was also nominated for an Outstanding Portfolio Award.
Teaching has always been an important part of my academic life. Would I have pursued science if it weren’t for the inspiring teachers I had growing up? Probably not. That experience continues to shape how I teach today — especially in supporting students from international or neurodivergent backgrounds.
A heartfelt thank-you to Karen Parrish, Amy McCarty Torrens, and Rebekah Jeans — the champions of teaching at the School of Chemistry, University of Bristol. Your encouragement, feedback, and high standards pushed me to reflect deeply and improve my practice.
This milestone wouldn’t have happened without your support.
